Outdoor Building Signs

Many of the business logo signs you will find on our website tend to be artistic in style and nature, however any of our signage can be adapted for outdoor use on your building facade. We make metal, wood and acrylic logo signs that can be treated to withstand the elements.  We have your traditional cut-out logos and lettering, flat panels with printed logos, and reverse-cut logos, however even our hand-ground, custom painted, and backlit LED signs can all be modified for outdoor use throughout the year.

We craft just about any type, size, and style of sign imaginable, both for indoor and outdoor placement.  However, you must notify us in advance if you intend to mount your building sign outdoors so we can construct it accordingly.

What's Different About Our OUTDOOR Building Signs..?

In some cases there are very few, if any, differences between an indoor logo sign and an outdoor building sign.  In terms of style, artistic flair, designs, patterns and colors - no limitations exist between our indoor and outdoor signage.  Many of the sign examples you see on our website were crafted for outdoor use, and any of the others could have been modified for outdoor placement without any visible difference.  

That being said however, here are the most common things that we might do differently for outdoor building signs:

1. CLEAR COAT: Depending on the material we use for your building sign, it may require a protective clear coat like an automobile - particularly if there are painted or printed colors.
2. LED LIGHTING: If your sign incorporates LED back-lighting of some kind, we have different types of lights that are specifically approved for outdoor placement.
3. BRACKETING: Depending on how you plan to attach it to your building facade, we typically have different bracketing components for indoor versus outdoor building signage.
   

​In addition to those factors, here are some additional points to be conscious of with regards to outdoor building signs:

1. SIZE: Take good measurements of where you want to place the sign on your building facade.  If the sign is not constructed large enough, the huge empty space on your facade will dwarf it and minimize the impact of your display.
2. MOUNTING: In most cases you will need to pay a contractor to install your sign to ensure a secure installation.  Don't want to risk having that puppy fall on an employee or customer!
3. CITY REGULATIONS: Some cities have regulations on the design, material and style of outdoor building signs that they allow you to display on your building facade.  Be sure to verify that with a local city rep, property manager, general contractor, etc
