Our Most Popular Styles of Logo SignsWhether you are a small business or a global conglomerate, we'll make sure your signage sets you apart and proudly represents your brand. We make both interior business signs to beautify your lobby, reception, bar, dining, seating or office areas, as well as eye-catching outdoor building signage with top-of-the-line finishes for durability and longevity. Of course there is overlap between many of these metal office signs (and even more obscure styles and materials that we can get into) but here is a quick description of our most common business sign styles:
|
- Negative Cut-Out Logo (aka Relief Cut): this is when we take a blank metal panel that we cut to remove the outline of your logo/lettering, leaving a void where it would be. We can either leave it open to show your wall through the void, or put a back panel behind it (in metal, painted colors, or printed to perfectly match your logo) to give it a layered shadow around the inner edges.
- Positive Cut-Out Logo (aka Raised Cut): this is the inverse of the negative cut-out option. We cut your logo/lettering out of a steel or acrylic panel, then take the loose pieces and either attach and raise them off of a back panel, or put mounting hardware on the back of each piece so you can hang them individually on your wall (referred to as "Floating Letters.") This option gives your signage attractive three-dimensional layering and drop-shadows.
- Push-Thru Acrylic Sign: this is one of the newest techniques that we came up with, which is kind of like a combination of a negative & positive cut sign. We make a negative cut of your logo in a metal panel, then we take a thick acrylic panel and use our router to make a 3D version of your logo, which then gets pressed through the back of the negative-cut metal panel, making the acrylic version of your logo protrude through the surface of the metal. We then backlight the acrylic with LEDs, and the result is a stunning, intricate, and extremely durable sign.
- Multi-Layer Logo Sign: this can be a combination of several materials (metal, plexi, reclaimed wood, polymetal, etc) and/or multiple sign styles for a beefier, architectural look. Imagine a logo positive-cut from torched stainless steel and raised off of a reclaimed barn wood back panel with a byline negative-cut from it...
- Flat HD Print Graphics & Signage: this is typically done on metal, acrylic, or frosted acrylic, and can be a logo sign, wayfinding signage, mission statement, etc. We have a massive vacuum-table flatbed printer that sprays UV-cured acrylic inks, programmed to perfectly match your original logo colors. We can leave them with a matte finish or top them off with a glossy clear coat.
- Backlit LED Logo Sign: this works with both our negative and positive cut signs; the negative-cut LED lighting makes the actual logo glow (white, logo color-matching, or random color-changing) while the positive-cut with LED creates a halo lighting effect (glowing out around the edges of each letter.)
- Outdoor Logo Sign: This can also work with any of our sign styles, however we use different materials, hardware, electrical components, and protective finishes if it is a sign for an outdoor storefront or building facade.
- Artistic Grind Pattern: this is what really sets our logo signs apart from the rest, and can be done with any of our sign styles. We have two professional metal artists in-house who can grind a variety of intricate patterns into the surface of the metal. Some are bold, eye-catching and holographic while others add a softer, more subtle touch.
- Corporate Gifts & Achievement Awards: these are more straightforward, but clients come to us when they want a more sculptural metal award that the recipient will actually keep and display proudly as an art piece, rather than tucking away in storage or half-hiding on a shelf.
Our Sign Fabrication Equipment
We manufacture our signs in-house in our massive production studio and warehouse in Cincinnati, Ohio. We do most of our cutting on our CNC routers and our plasma cutter, but also have access to a laser cutter and water jet cutter when needed. Most clients don't have a preference between the plasma cut, laser cut, CNC cut or water jet cut option because the result can be virtually the same, however we tend to make the call during production based on the type and thickness of material used and the intricacy of the cut paths (CNC cutting for wood, acrylic, Dibond, or aluminum, plasma cutting for medium to large shapes in thick aluminum and steel, laser cutting for finer detail and thicker or stainless steel, water jet for extreme cases like 2"+ thick steel, etc.)
We have an automotive sized paint booth in our shop, which allows us to paint and clear coat massive logo signs, which particularly comes in handy for outdoor building signage. We have a huge commercial flatbed UV printer for printed graphics, which can print panels of a virtually limitless length and up to about 65" height. We built our own custom grind room for adding our signature artistic metal grind patterns, and we have large scale woodworking and metal fabrication equipment for the unique, unusual, and dimensional structures (like custom installations, outdoor monuments, etc.)
